We are a certified organic, family (and friend) operated mini-farm located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Our operation is done almost entirely by hand to practice minimum tillage and maximum sustainability. Currently we grow a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs on less than 2 acres. In the future we will expand production into berries and fruit trees. Our beautiful coastal climate allows us to grow almost year-round. Please browse our website to find out more about us!
Restaurants - We currently sell to a few select restaurants in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.
Famer's Markets - We have temporarily stopped selling at local farmer's markets.
Our Farm Stand in San Luis Obispo - Our farm stand is closed for the Fall and Winter Seasons.
Our produce variety changes with the seasons and demand. We are also open for new suggestions on vegetables that you would like to find! Currently our available produce consists of:
Sadly, the term 'organic' has lost some of it's soul as mega-corporations and opportunists have sought to capitalize on the premium connotation that comes with the organic label. But this changes nothing for the vast majority of conscientious organic farmers who have always been committed to responsible growing practices from day one. It simply becomes more important for the consumer to know their local farmers, visit their farms, and be informed about the state of our food supply.
More and more research studies are concluding what sustainable farmers have been saying for years: growing food in a way that mimics nature as closely as possible is nutritionally, environmentally, and socially superior. We, as small-scale family farmers are committed to stewardship of our soil, the habitats that surround us, and our community to which we bring our carefully and thoughtfully grown food. We always welcome your comments, suggestions and visits to our farm. Please visit our blog to more about our philosophy.
Our small operation is done almost entirely by hand. Consequently we always need help! If you've ever been interested in learning or participating on a small scale organic farm, feel free to contact us. Volunteers often participate in transplanting, harvesting, seeding, weeding and more. You may find that breathing the fresh outdoor air, digging in the soil, and being closer to the natural world is just what is missing from your week.
